Happy Wednesday, friends! As we inch closer to summer, the heat in Austin is calling for cutoff shorts and breezy tops! I am such a fan of denim shorts of all kinds: high rise, low rise, tight, loose…you name it, I probably have it sitting in my dresser drawer or in my shopping cart. Whether you’re meeting friends for coffee or running errands on the weekend, you can’t go wrong investing in a gorgeous pair of denim shorts!
Ohh the dreaded Tuesday following a holiday weekend…I am absolutely feeling that dark cloud looming over my head! I am on my second coffee of the day, been jamming new Miley quite loudly (…perks of a house, no one bangs on the wall for me to shut up haha!) and am desperately trying to shake this wonky feeling that won’t seem to go away. I’ve got an inbox filled with to-do’s (…maybe if I don’t open them, they’ll just disappear…isn’t that how it works? 😉 ), a sink filled with dishes and lots of content to prep (hooray June posts – I’ve got some fun stuff in the works! …Just need to get to it, ah!). Alas, I reach for my laptop, close out my emails and get started in writing this blog post…my therapy!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, friends! I hope you have some plans to get outside and soak up an extra day of relaxation! Blake and I have some friends headed to town, so we’re excited to play “tourist” in our own city and get outside to explore Austin. We are inching thaaat much closer to summer…so it’s time to reach for free-flowing dresses in the prettiest crisp white color. Hello friends! I am pretty darn excited to share a little peek into our new home today! These are all iPhone snaps…and yes, I definitely took these with the intention of sending them to mom and not posting on my blog haha. Buuut after so much wonderful feedback on my Instagram Stories last night (I did a mini-before/after progress report), I figured it would be super fun to document our house little by little. I’ll be posting full room reveals as we get things together (lots of fun ideas!), so stay tuned for those over the next few months (…err, year? No pressure, right?! 😉 ).
Disclaimer: we are still living in a state of empty boxes (like…everywhere, ah!), piles of things to put away (…that’s what the weekend is for, right?) and of course, lots of open space that will be filled in time (I know, I know, those bookshelves above are lookin’ scarce!). All that said – we are having SO much fun settling in and it still feels surreal that this precious house is our very own. Blake and I are so grateful to have found this gem and even though not a single room is complete at the moment, we still sit in bed with coffee each morning and look around in awe. Needless to say, we are loving every second in our new space! Sooo….without further adieu, here we go!
