Cozy High/Low Tee

After a very busy weekend enjoying ACL Festival here in town, I’m ready to get back into the swing of things! Hence, a new outfit post this Monday evening. I’ve got a glass of wine to my left, my newest playlist on repeat (currently jamming MisterWives…they were SO good at ACL!) and am onto editing photos for the week. There’s just something about familiarity and routine that I find calming…maybe I’m weird, but this is definitely my happy place! Well, now that I’ve rambled on..! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and made it through Monday just fine…there’s nothing a glass of vino can’t help, right? 😉

Boho Chic: Black on Black

If there’s one combination that’s both effortless and timeless, it’s black on black. I kept it chic with the shoes, bag and skinny jeans, then added those perfectly boho touches with an off the shoulder, bell sleeve top and my fedora hat. Voila, an outfit I can 100% get down with from day to night!

As ACL festival rolls around, I can feel this city buzzing with anticipation (trust me, it’s getting harder and harder to sit still at my desk!) and girl making their way to local boutiques and shopping centers in search of their best bohemian outfit! …I’m thinking this look is definitely suitable for this time of year!read more

I’ve been scouring my closet lately for pieces that I can seamless transition from summer temps to fall weather and I came across this airy crochet trim dress from Lookbook Store – just $27! I loved this as a cute little dress with sandals for summer and realized that the length is actually very flattering with a pair of skinny jeans, too. When I shot this look, it was (no joke) 100 degrees out, but if you follow my Instagram, you’d have seen that I shared a picture where I layered an army green jacket over this outfit to give you a glimpse at how you can really wear this as cool weather heads our way.read more

Hello gals! WHAT a weekend! I hope you all had a lovely and relaxing Saturday/Sunday…I certainly did until it all came crashing down on me tonight…woooo, love when that happens and I neglect my email for two days and then realize I am so behind on my life! (But hey, sanity over organization, right?). Yesterday morning I ventured to Houston/Galveston with my mom for a weekend getaway and an appointment at BHLDN bridal boutique…I know, I know, but I already announced that I found THE dress?! Well, let’s just say it wasn’t quite THE one and I actually found my perfect fit this weekend…and this time I am 100% certain, and it’s SO gorgeous I can’t contain my excitement! Now I just have to wait a year and a couple of weeks to wear it! 😉

Lace Crochet Bell Sleeve Top

Going for the feminine boho look today in this pretty lacy, crochet blouse with high waist jeans. I love how airy and light this top is – oh, and did I mention it’s only $13? Pretty darn amazing if you ask me! It looks so great paired with nude wedges and a fringe bag…and I went a little more modern by rocking it with the skinny jeans. By the way, these jeans are not only ridiculously adorable, but I’d been on the hunt for a pair of comfortable high waist pants that didn’t restrict me (you know…from finishing those last few bites at Chipotle..obvs.. 😉 ) and this pair is definitely the winner! I love the color, too. Super 70s-esque and just all around a solid go-to pair for fall. I scooped up the same pair in black, excited to bust them out with booties once Austin cools off in about a month – ha!

Also I just realized that ACL music fest is just around the corner…time to get in the boho mindset eh eh! 😉 About a month and I’ll be out of the office and on the festival grounds…can’t wait!

It’s casual yet trendy, which I feel really hits the nail on the head when it comes to Austin fashion. We like to keep things wearable all the time.
