What To Wear To A Spring Wedding

Hey gals! I’m currently en route to Palm Beach, Florida for a fun collaboration with the Lilly Pulitzer team – actually writing this from the airplane! I grabbed my mom and we’re ready for a couple days of r&r and hopefully a few margaritas by the pool. I am in desperate need of a relaxing getaway right about now! If you’ve followed me for a while, you may have noticed that I wear a lot of J.O.A. clothing (this brand is sold at Nordstrom and Shopbop, which is where I discovered it!). There’s a reason I keep coming back for more of their beautiful products, and when I saw this adorable ruffled maxi dress, I knew right away I needed to share it with y’all! It would SO perfect worn to a spring (…or summer!) wedding.

Our Honeymoon To Greece

Aaaand months later (we visited in late September/early October), I am finally sharing the ins and outs of our honeymoon to Athens and Santorini, Greece! Not going to lie, editing these images brought back all the “feels” and I definitely called Blake over to my office area more than once to look at photos and reminisce with me. I still stand by that it was my favorite vacation ever…for one, Santorini was such a relaxing and romantic place – and Athens was so rich with incredible history that I was pretty much in awe for three days straight…and two, given that Blake and I are both workaholics, it was seriously SO incredible to disconnect and just be present and explore with each other for 12 days straight. We make a great team and he’s my very favorite travel partner! (…Our shared love for drinking coffee and beer in new places = a match made in heaven, ha!). From the scenery to the Greek food (omg heaven!), to spending days on end with my darling, it was pure magic and a trip I’ll forever fondly remember.

As folks are planning their spring/summer getaways, I’ve had a ton of emails and messages from LL readers asking to share where we stayed, what activities we did, and any tips and insight regarding this trip, sooo here we go! Our Wedding Day!

Ohh my heart! Going through photos to create this post really brought out so many emotions! I purposefully didn’t wear makeup as I put this one together knowing I’d be a blubbery mess, ha! Excuse my delay in getting this post up, after a restful January, starting fresh in February just felt like the right time to share our wedding photos! It has been such an incredible treat to be a Blogger Bride for SMP and I hope I was able to provide some helpful planning tips and inspiration to current and future bride-to-be’s!

Blake and I have been hitched for four months now and life could not be any sweeter. I truly love him more each day and we have grown closer than ever…it really feels right that we are “husband” and “wife” – I don’t think there are any words more suitable for the bond we have. When people ask us if it feels different to be married, I always say yes, but that it’s tough to describe. It’s a comfort level unlike before, knowing you’ve got a best friend for life and someone who loves you equally, forever.

A Wedding “Thank You” To My Mom

Ohh gals, prepare yourself for an emotional post (…and I haven’t even had a glass of wine today, ha!). As we reach the end of wedding planning (just 3 weeks to go, we can do it!! 😉 ), I am starting to catch my breath and take it all in. Our wedding budget did not allow for a wedding planner, so my mom and I took the reigns to plan this monumental shindig on our own. And lemme tell ya, wedding planning is no easy task! We combined forces to check each box in the massive “wedding planning binder” we scooped up at Hobby Lobby and over the past year, I’d say we made a great team and that the wedding will be an absolute dream – and I could not have done it with out the help and support of my beautiful mama!

Costa Rica Bachelorette Trip!

Hello everyone! AH, I am SO EXCITED to finally share the behind-the-scenes scoop from my bachelorette party getaway to Costa Rica! If you follow me on Snapchat, you likely got a first hand view of all the action…from the most hilarious wigs we all wore as soon as we got to the airport (thanks to my sister for surprising us with those!!), to the insanely stunning house we rented for the week, to watching my best friends belt show-tunes at the top of their lungs after a dozen bottles of wine at dinner…Yep, it was as magical as it sounds! 😉 I seriously could not have asked for a more incredible time and trust me, I am totally tearing up as I go through these photos and write this post because y’all, being surrounded by your very best friends – everyone happy and carefree as can be – all together to celebrate you? Words can’t describe how grateful I am for these precious and unforgettable days together!

My friends live all over the United States, so we decided together that it would be more fun for everyone to meet somewhere new and explore together – and Costa Rica was the perfect place.

Getting Ready On Your Wedding Day

Hello there! Hope your weekend is going well, Blake and I had a monster to-do list yesterday and through it all I miraculously made time to exercise (seriously trying my hardest to be diligent about getting in workouts throughout the week…we’re now just a month and a half away from our wedding day, eek!!), so I ventured downtown to run the Hike & Bike trail…in the 100 degree heat…it was half miserable buuut I did it, so I was pretty darn happy and proud of myself! Also felt nice to see the light of day…I’ve been in tunnel mode with wedding to-do’s and general blog prep on my calendar, so it was really nice to step away from my computer and soak in some vitamin D!

Speaking of the wedding… I am super excited to partner with Nordstrom today and share a look from their wedding suite featuring THE cutest floral romper to wear as you get ready on the big day! Hello there! I am super excited about today’s post because I’m sharing a personal essay about a topic I feel very strongly about. Fresh off my bachelorette trip to Costa Rica, the ladies over at Style Me Pretty reached out and asked if I’d write a post on the topic of having a guy in my bridal party (my friend Ben) – and of course I jumped at the opportunity.
